3 Questions to Success

The 3 Questions:
  1. Can people trust me to do what's right?
  2. Am I committed to doing my very best?
  3. Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?
"If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."- Lou Holtz

I believe Lou Holtz's statement is true. If people can't trust you to do the right thing they won't believe anything you say or have you handle anything important. The second question asks if you are committed to doing your best. This question relates to school, sports, and work. For example, if you try your best in the sport you are in the coach will see it and give you more time to play. On the other hand, if you just walk and don't try the coach will replace you with someone who probably isn't great, but always goes out and tries their best. The last question asks "Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?" This is important because you might be hurting someone emotionally with the words you say, but if someone were to tell you something awful about your self you will also be hurt emotionally. Everyone should be kind and caring to one another because no one likes hearing hurtful things about themselves.

"Enthusiasm makes the difference"-Dr. Norman Vincent Peale I agree with Dr. Peale because it all depends on how you approach things. When you are excited to try something new you will be glad with the outcome.  When you are sad on trying something new you go with a bad attitude and and don't end up enjoying the experience. I believe this quote is a life lesson. You should always approach things with enthusiasm.

Student Success Statement

I agree with Maesar's quote because you must always keep your word of honor. When you tell someone that you will do something you must keep your word of honor and do what you said you would do. As a kid you never really keep your word of honor because you don't think much of it. For example, as a kid you tell your parents that you will clean your room, but you never do. As you get older then you start to realize how important it is to keep your word of honor. The more you keep your word, the more people will trust you.

"Kindness  is the essence of greatness."- Joseph B. Wirthlin I believe that Wirthlin's statement is true. When you are kind and caring to an individual you become a great person. One sees you differently when you are kind. They see that you are kind, caring, and respectful person rather than a person that is selfish and only cares about themselves. One example of kindness being an essence of greatness is giving up your seat for someone on the bus. If you see you someone is struggling to carry their items or is having trouble walking or standing you should be kind and offer them your seat. Another example of showing kindness is helping out the less fortunate. If you can afford something they can't like food or clothes be kind and give them some. It doesn't have to be new clothes or bought food it could be used clothes that is in good condition and a home made meal.
