Student Success Statement

"I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that. It depends upon how hard I want to work, and I decide that I would change it." -Dr. Ben Carson I agree with Dr. Ben Carson. The only person that can make your future is you. You are the one that decides weather or not you want a better life. You can do anything you set your mind to. Although, if you want to accomplish something you have to work hard to do it. You can not just wait for it to come to you.  

3 Questions to Success

The 3 Questions: Can people trust me to do what's right? Am I committed to doing my very best? Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?  "If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail."- Lou Holtz I believe Lou Holtz's statement is true. If people can't trust you to do the right thing they won't believe anything you say or have you handle anything important. The second question asks if you are committed to doing your best. This question relates to school, sports, and work. For example, if you try your best in the sport you are in the coach will see it and give you more time to play. On the other hand, if you just walk and don't try the coach will replace you with someone who probably isn't great, but always goes out and tries their best. The last question asks "Do I treat people the way I want to be treated?" This is important because you might be hurting someone emotionally with the words you say, but...
