Student Success Statement

"Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act accordingly."-

I agree with Graham's statement. Before you do or say something you have to think about it. You have to decide weather what you are about to do is going to hurt someone or make them feel better. An example of doing the right thing was on the news. A homeless man was asking for money and when a lady put her hand in the bucket to give him money she accidentally dropped her engagement ring. The guy went to check how much it was and a man offered him $4,000. He thought about cashing it in to pay rent for an apartment, but he did the right thing and instead he waited for the lady to come back and he would give it to her. When the lady came back to claim her ring she was so grateful that the man had not cashed it in. She started a go fund me account for him and they earned enough money for him to get a house. Not only that, but the man reconnected with his family.

"Enthusiasm makes the difference"-Dr. Norman Vincent Peale I agree with Dr. Peale because it all depends on how you approach things. When you are excited to try something new you will be glad with the outcome.  When you are sad on trying something new you go with a bad attitude and and don't end up enjoying the experience. I believe this quote is a life lesson. You should always approach things with enthusiasm.

I agree with Maesar's quote because you must always keep your word of honor. When you tell someone that you will do something you must keep your word of honor and do what you said you would do. As a kid you never really keep your word of honor because you don't think much of it. For example, as a kid you tell your parents that you will clean your room, but you never do. As you get older then you start to realize how important it is to keep your word of honor. The more you keep your word, the more people will trust you.

"Kindness  is the essence of greatness."- Joseph B. Wirthlin I believe that Wirthlin's statement is true. When you are kind and caring to an individual you become a great person. One sees you differently when you are kind. They see that you are kind, caring, and respectful person rather than a person that is selfish and only cares about themselves. One example of kindness being an essence of greatness is giving up your seat for someone on the bus. If you see you someone is struggling to carry their items or is having trouble walking or standing you should be kind and offer them your seat. Another example of showing kindness is helping out the less fortunate. If you can afford something they can't like food or clothes be kind and give them some. It doesn't have to be new clothes or bought food it could be used clothes that is in good condition and a home made meal.
