I agree with Hamilton because when you make a promise you must keep it. You have told someone that you will do something for sure and if you don't do it in a way you are letting them down. It is important that you stick to your word. An example that I was shown about keeping a promise was from Abraham Lincoln. In the video, it states that before Lincoln mother passed away she told him to promise to never drink and use tobacco products. Many of us do the wrong thing by breaking our promise because we think the person that we made the promise to don't remember.

Eight great Reasons to Tell the Truth- Barbara A. Lewis Telling the truth lets everyone know what really happened. There's a less chance of misunderstanding, confusion, or conflict Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than for lying (and getting caught) Other people trust you more when you tell the truth You don't have to tell (and remember) more lies to keep your story straight You gain a reputation for being truthful- a trait most people value Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside I agree with Barbara's eight reasons.  "Kindness  is the essence of greatness."- Joseph B. Wirthlin I believe that Wirthlin's statement is true. When you are kind and caring to an individual you become a great person. One sees you differently when you are kind. They see that you are kind, caring, and respectful person rather than a person that is selfish and only cares about themselves. One example of kindness being an essence of greatness is giving up your seat for someone on the bus. If you see you someone is struggling to carry their items or is having trouble walking or standing you should be kind and offer them your seat. Another example of showing kindness is helping out the less fortunate. If you can afford something they can't like food or clothes be kind and give them some. It doesn't have to be new clothes or bought food it could be used clothes that is in good condition and a home made meal.

"Goodness is the only investment that never fails."- Henry David Thoreau I agree with Thoreau's statement because if you are kind and good you will feel good. I think by investment he means that you should spend your time to be nice, to really show someone you care. The point of being good is to help others and brighten up their day. If you are kind and good you will never fail. You will never fail because you will feel good about the good deed you have done. An example of doing something good is giving out cookies, cupcakes, or roses. You can go to any location, such as a police department to show them that we do recongnize their work.
