"I would rather prefer to fail with honor than win by cheating."- Sophocles

I agree with Sophocles statement. If you win by cheating you will feel guilty because you did not work hard to achieve that win. For example, there was a horse racer that cheated in a final race by electrocuting his horse. His horse when originally in 5th place, but when it came to the last lap his horse suddenly passed all the horse and was in first place. A picture taken before the finish line shows Roman Chapa with an electric shocker and he is now accused of cheating. An example of failing with honor comes from Malik Stewart. It was the state championship wrestling match. One of the players wanted to win because his dad was battling cancer. That player ended up winning and what his opponent did shocked everyone. Instead of Malik Stewart leaving the match angry he congratulated his opponent on his win and went over to his dad and gaveSee the source image him a hug.

Eight great Reasons to Tell the Truth- Barbara A. Lewis Telling the truth lets everyone know what really happened. There's a less chance of misunderstanding, confusion, or conflict Telling the truth protects innocent people from being blamed or punished Telling the truth allows everyone to learn from what happened You usually get into less trouble for telling the truth other than for lying (and getting caught) Other people trust you more when you tell the truth You don't have to tell (and remember) more lies to keep your story straight You gain a reputation for being truthful- a trait most people value Telling the truth helps you to feel secure and peaceful inside I agree with Barbara's eight reasons. As soon as you tell one lie there can be many consequences. There might not only be consequences for you, but also possibly for others. When someone has discovered that there is a lie they try to figure out w...

"Kindness  is the essence of greatness."- Joseph B. Wirthlin I believe that Wirthlin's statement is true. When you are kind and caring to an individual you become a great person. One sees you differently when you are kind. They see that you are kind, caring, and respectful person rather than a person that is selfish and only cares about themselves. One example of kindness being an essence of greatness is giving up your seat for someone on the bus. If you see you someone is struggling to carry their items or is having trouble walking or standing you should be kind and offer them your seat. Another example of showing kindness is helping out the less fortunate. If you can afford something they can't like food or clothes be kind and give them some. It doesn't have to be new clothes or bought food it could be used clothes that is in good condition and a home made meal.

"It may make a difference to all eternity whether we do right or wrong today."-James Freeman Clarke I agree with Clarke's statement. What you do today can impact somebody in a negative and positive way. An example of doing something good that will make a positive impact on somebody is paying for their coffee. On an episode of 2020 there was a family that paid for someone's coffee out of kindness and it became a big. They posted on social media what they had done and it became contagious. People started paying forward. Someone even payed their bill when they went out to eat.
